MENTORING MATTERS CONFERENCE :

We'd like to thank all the coordinators, mentors, special guests, our wonderful volunteers and, of course, the 160 young people who attended Saturday's session, all of whom helped make this year's Mentoring Matters Conference at C. W. Post such a success.

Special thanks from all of us to our own Franca Floro who works so hard to make this event so special every year. It seems like Franca keeps raising the bar higher each year and yet she still manages to exceed expectations. Well done Franca!

David Windmiller

Hundreds of thousands of Long Islanders crowded Jones Beach on Memorial Day weekend to watch the Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show.

Among the pilots entertaining those on the ground was skilled stunt pilot David Windmiller (see video clips of David in action in his plane by visiting http://www.windmiller.com/). David and his wife Tammy have been strong supporters of the Mentoring Partnership and other worthwhile charitable causes on Long Island. In particular, the Windmiller's merchandise a unique filtrated water bottle especially designed to avoid health risks associated with tap water and other bottled water delivery systems. Proceeds from sales of the Watermiller Bottle are donated to charity (see http://www.watermiller.com/).

While David thrilled the crowds on the beach from the air, Tammy and her entire family were busy on the ground selling Team Windmiller teeshirts on behalf of the Mentoring Partnership. It was a total family effort that involved all the Windmiller children, as well as the Windmiller's very close friends, Maureen and Charlie Bergmann. Pictured above holding the Mentoring Partnership of Long Island's banner, from left to right, are Charlie and Maureen Bergman, David and Tammy Windmiller and Justin Von Schmidt.

The Mentoring Partnership thanks the Windmiller family and our good friends at Bethpage Federal Credit Union for including MPLI in this wonderful Memorial Day weekend event.
